Athletes in Action Sports Team Blog | Greetings from Guatemala!

We started off another great day, bright and early with a very entertaining talk show host?from the?#1 sports radio station in Guatemala. We shared who we were, where we?were from.?We also?answered questions from callers around the country. We then headed to the oldest?Physiotherapy?University?in Guatemala and taught?a very receptive group of 2nd and 3rd year students. We had a good time showing them rehab exercises, evaluations and taping techniques. One interesting fact that we learned was, they do not learn as PT students how to evaluate injuries or how to tape.?This remindes me of how great our education is in the US and I am greatful for it.?After, Cory shared with us and the students,?a very moving testimony of his life and walk with Christ. Chirstobal then shared some of the gospal and prayed for the hearts of the students. Again they were very attentive and receptive. It was very encouraging to see all of this happening.?Lunch was spent?among a ton of Barcolona fans watching them beat Manchester United.....good times!?We also had dinner with a?recreation leauge coach and?the?Guatemalan?National Track and Field coach.who is a?AIA volunteer. ?We shared how to talk to their athletes about Christ, and also how?if they enhance their spiritual life it can enhance?their?sport performance.?I just sat back and pondered how great this fellowship has been down here and its only the second day.?Now its time to rest?up for our adventures tomorrow in Antigua!!???

Buenos Noches
